Yesterday's Rainbow

It is a breath of fresh air
to the stagnant living,
sensitizing the roots
of a soul.

The silent twinkling
of the stars behind clouds
gives reason.
Their stimulus spawning
enlightened points of view.
Their distance a field of new,
their union, art,
to carry off into dreams.

The familiar becomes the unfamiliar again,
but with tender touches
and colored schemes
the dark turns from the reigns
of yesterday,
the path becomes highlighted
and the days ahead bend
to my will.

It is said that there is always tomorrow, but it is today that truly counts...

You are certainly correct Mark...and it is a shame to waste so many todays as I have done.

I have no idea where they all went, but I am going to try and recapture a few.

Thank you,
Maureen

I was just thinking...I always look to the future, living not in the moment, believing somehow the future holds a promise of something better.  Unfortunately, I miss the beauty of the day and when I reflect on the past...my memories seem so sad.

OK, Maureen, you are making me think!  Kind of a dangerous thing since I only got a few hours of sleep last night!  LOL

A great write!

well my words may not necessarily be the best to follow or dwell on...they are here today and gone tomorrow just as my moods are...can't help it when you are Cancerian.
