chipped

chip………..chip…………….chipping away……..

the paint is falling on the window,

and down next to the floor………

cracked and pleading, with eyes of wonder, and colors you adore…….

fades…..nothing but fade,

everything about this self destruction…………every last song and gasp….

every hint of resurrection……ending in the glass,

the window was never meant………..it never wanted to be covered,

so it dried, and cried, and chipped away………….. at the paint that was used to smother…….

i have to see……..i have to…., cried the paint in one last breath……..but the window unhearing in forced repression…………laid the paint back down to rest……..

i'm sorry………the window said to the paint that stained the floor…….i’m sorry paint but I had no choice……..for some things…….should never be adored…….

and with that fateful sigh………..the window looked on in peace…..as the flames began to engulf the house, the house never made to cease

Unique.  Makes me think of a mixture between a child's story and a classic poem ala Poe (strange combination, but it works...).
