Just A Little Bit Mended

Our paths parted almost a decade ago.
My love for you deep, all encompassing,
full surrender.
In debt,
recovering from the loss of an ill parent.
You were my light in a storm.
You came when I was filled
with exhaustion and pain.
Your love of music filled me
with peaceful tranquility.
You caressing,
with long gentle fingers,
an acoustic collage
of melodic melodies of the guitar.
The magic you did weave,
as I sat and melted into the
liquidmessage of your
stroking minstrel melody.
Moving ahead with my life-
Taking the time to heal
from another painful tribulation.
Leaving you behind-
Never to see your
beautiful smile and sparkling
laughing eyes.
Never to hear your voice,
your laughter or to hear your
mesmerizing music.
After all these years
you have entered my heart once again.
I hear your weeping guitar melodies
and my heart aches for your
loving touch of serenity.
To see you smile and hear your laughter,
just for a moment.
Oh! How I do miss you kind sir.
How I miss your
humorous jokes filling me with laughter
and your light-hearted happiness.
After all these years,
here are the tears once again,
and that old familiar ache within
my saddened heart.
My heart broken,
just a little bit mended.

Bonnie? this is so beautiful. oh it made me ache just reading this. He sounds like he had such a positive effect on your whole being. Those people always keep the wound of losing them fresh somehow, because they mean SO much.

just heartbreaking and rejoicing at the same time.

dont you love when this happens..someone you swore you would probably never meet again back at your door...amazing...beautiful *hugs* love this...going through this myself...sorta in my own little way...

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

Those warm memories and moments last a very long time...but it sure would be nice to have that hot fire in front of you again.
