Pulled muscle, aching my insecurity This hair, this face, these bones How did you manage to grate my insides into such singular insignificant pains Why is it, you crept under skin leaving gaping holes as you left I feel the wind more passionately now in its chill, crying for the shadow I once knew Paranoid of anyone who should embrace me for fear of rejections shackles Attacking the nonsense is easy when everything makes sense, but no You will find me in crowded room with shallow glass, and emptier hope Laughing with friends, only for so long before pen aches to bleed black upon naked white lines Promises I loathe, made, broken, kept to me, a promise is only a promise to break a heart. Instant karma's gonna get you. |
