My Mommy Muys (wellknown in blue pages here) will be ninety two years old on August 24. As I requested in Announcements, I would like to surprise her with some poetic birthday wishes from her Passion friends and Nan has promised to put them all on a webpage (thanks sweetie, I'll bring you my whole appletree  )Below is mine and if you want to join in, please put your lines in this thread, so Nan can find them easily. My Mom will be moved to tears, I know that for sure. So please, come join me Passion Poets. To give Nan enough time to put the webpage together, don't wait too long, for I'll take my Mom on a weekend tour starting August 22! It's time to let you know I love you Mom To thank you for the things you've ever done Because it is so easy to forget And it's too late in time when you are gone I thank you for the effort raising me Three years you had to do it all alone And though we had our fights from time to time I'm satisfied into whom I have grown I thank you for your humor and good laughs For creativity in diff'rent ways I thank you for the mother you have been When I was sick or sad in all past days So let's switch sides, when you are ninety two Let me take care of old sweet lovely you Like scattered leaves...my words will flow [This message has been edited by Titia Geertman (08-03-2003 09:00 AM).] |

When our Mummy Muys came here to the blue We welcomed her, our own Titia’s mother We took up her poetry, it is true Linking our arms as sisters and brothers Now we know from where Titia’s wisdom comes Through her own Mum’s wonderful poetry A woman who has voice to sing and hum As our birthday wishes fill her with glee Happy Birthday, Mummy Muys! |

It’s a very special day It’s Muys, Titia mum’s birthday Titia said you were ninety-two Well, I don’t believe that’s true Muys, you look younger by far And so I think perhaps you are Ninety-two? Surely you jest But anyway I give you my best Muys have a great birthday do Even if it’s not really Ninety-two Come tell me the truth you’re seventy Although you look much younger to me But whatever your age Muys dear Have a great birthday do you hear? I have read work by your daughter child, And enriched from it I have been. She writes in deepest heart style, Seems she has a heart for animals so keen. Muys. Hope your day is filled with love and laughter, to bring a beaming smile to your face. Hope that you are very happy, that your special day, will bring to you love and style and grace. Mummy Muys she had a daughter and didn't do the things she oughta she taught her daughter; taught her well to poet speak with tales to tell in her life her talent shone in poetry her Muys lives on The daughter's talent shared by half for Mummy Muys can make you laugh and as her special day rolls round we know that loving can be found in every word that written here in other words Happy Birthday dear.
