Laying flat
centred
upon these sheets
I am
whole still

Shark bite
you filled
my sea
with blue

The last thing
I need
is another
you

Drug fuelled
passion
fake ignition
soul food
malnutrition
of heart

What happened
to awake

against your ethics?

to truly feel

Nature tells
me
I have survived
playing
second fiddle
to destroying
addiction

I wanted
to save you.

Instant karma's gonna get you.

gemjop - I believe one has to want to be saved first before they will accept any help. Good write...

You caught the real in this one gem.  I remember asking someone once, "Don't you ever just wanna be straight for a few hours?"
