these birds are psychotic,
they break thru my dreams and cry with daylight,
in 2 more moonfuls, they'll abandon me again,
like springtime lovers laced in pink leaves, crumbling in autumn bonfires,
the window will be songless, painted in white, without expression,

summer squeaks out its last brushstroke
in a masterpiece of  cornfields,
i want to make love in them, under the towers of green, laying before god,

i am reborn again,
i was awoken,
trees lost definition,
and became waterfalls of green to me,

toss me a cigarette, * i need another life,
its 5 am
"whats the pen for", he asks me,
and offers a tool of his own instead,

i'm afraid to be dead again
does anyone understand this?

i'll take these morsels
as they gather above my simmering dreams,
they are scattered crumbs laced with metaphors,
the birds grace me with them for now,

if i dont claim them,
they'll become lost luggage,

the wind may may carry them instead,
and give them to the pretty englishgirl,

this is poetric shangrila right now,
and i'm living the starring role.

Michele - your words become more and more expressive in your writings. Actually each one is more you.

"i'm afraid to be dead again
does anyone understand this?"

Yes, I understand this perfectly...

When the words do come you have to capture them. I know I haven't been here long, but since i've been here I have enjoyed every one of yours I have read. I have been moved each time to comment. Always a treat!

I have to save this. It kicked my ass right out from under me

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.
