Flying to the Ground

A tinseled sky has caught my eye
Clouds of color usurp the sky
And I have fixed some wings my back
To climb above the things I lack

I’ll climb and paint my wings up there
In all the hews of daring dare
Fly down into and Eden’s den
And figure out the why and when

And then I’ll fly my love away
Beyond forever and a day
And read to her my rhymes divine
To sweep her up my sands of time

And we will glean the fields of green
And dance and laugh upon the scene
Build our castles on the shore
And mortar them with evermore

And ne’er a wave will bring them down
For they are built of true earth brown.

not when your rhymes make me high. *L*

Sy, m'friend

And you said you'd write like me...I'll take the compliment, for compliment it is. But, please don't. It'd be a giant step backwards.

The solution is to walk backwards. LOL

Swept me away in reading this....what a lovely thing to take in. Lifted this reader for sure.

What woman doesn't love to hear these words that make her feel secure! Very nice, and sincere.
