+*+*+

I love preparing meals,
For my friends and family,
And when I'm in the cooking mood,
I do it happily!

At times I do things fancy,
But at others I do not,
I might glaze a country ham,
Or toss it in a pot!

My pasta sauce is scrumptious~
Only the best for my clan,
But when I'm stressed and over-worked,
It comes straight from a can!

Candles, linens, flowers,
Often grace the table~
Presentation at its best,
Whenever I am able!

But on those days when busy,
And cannot find the time,
I dish out beer and burgers,
Not crown-of-pork and wine!

lol, cooking is a fun thing..
I love baking bread on boring, cool days..
The smell alone is filling.

But a beer and a veggie burger will do for me on those days, as well!

Great write

Well, EA, this sounds just like me!  And since I'm home alone for the weekend (yay), my compromise is cookin' up a pot of black beans from scratch, just for me!  I'll save you a bowl....mmm, with sourdough bread chunks.....

Cooking is great but not in this heat Linda!!
Either throw it on the barbeque or eat out!
Storms headed your way may cool things off a bit.
Have a great long weekend.

Chuckling at this one.  I used to be a good cook, EA.  Now I am terrible...I burn everything.  My mind is on too many things...  Maybe you can send me some recipes?

Love this!

I do love to cook... except when I don't love it at all... and you've captured that well! *G*

Linda - ok, tomorrow morning just put on the bacon, eggs, homefries, and pancakes. Oh, and please don't forget the goumet coffee, rich in aroma and taste. I should be there by 7:00 am if I leave now. Thanks Linda, I'm sure that you will do them up well with your cooking skills. Oh by the way, over light please...

P.S.  Do you like whole cloves pressed into the succulent ham?
Would you prefer pineapple, apples, or peach slices to top the roast?

Ooops, I'm sorry! I almost missed your wonderful reply! Your dinner sounds delish and probably what your son requested! May I join in the birthday festivities? I'll bring him a terrific present! I love it when an occasion arises for me to buy presents! Actually, I buy them even when there isn't a special occasion!

Sounds like you are a wonderful mommy!

Happy Birthday, Dear Son of A Blue-Eyed Angel!

hehehehe Delivery, or carryout? ..Today that sounds good to me. I love it when there's a time to put out a spread on the table, and feed the kids, and hubby dear with the touch of TLC!!! Kinda gives a girl a sense of pride! Like you, it goes home grown, or sometimes carry out, or delivery. Depends on the mood. Cute write. Love it!!

Sweetie, life is short and there are far too many frowns around. What the world needs is lots and lots of giggles.

All is stable and I'll write you an email in the next couple of days.

The other day I caught a glimpse of myself frowning as I passed a mirror! I had been slipping into a gloomy thought. One look at my own pathetically down-turned mouth, actually cracked me up!--and bingo I was smiling and giggling! I truly am nutzoid!

I'll be looking out for that email in a couple of days! We're always there for each other! That's what friends are for!

Loving hugs,

Very cute write!  I like to cook, but don't have my own place to do it, yet.  My boyfriend cooks for me, but only when it comes out of a box and all he has to do is add water & butter!  Hehe.
