A Simple Taboo

she sees his image
through her compact mirror
he openly stares

in an aloof manner
she continues on
without acknowledgement

her hand is steady
moving with precise strokes
up over around

a deep red trail fills
the heart shaped contours
of her small luscious mouth

finishing her task
she tosses her blonde hair
long curls freely fly

increasing the volume
it comes floating down
into a messy mass

the final results
gives her lovely features
a wild gypsy look

closing the compact
she stands and turns around
flashing him a smile

spellbound he watches
as she begins to walk
towards where he sits

he cannot stop himself
as he quickly stands
in anticipation

but all he can do
is mouth as she walks by
"you look so pretty"

she whispers in reply
"thank you very much"
without ever stopping

naughty satisfaction
descends over her
as she walks out the door

a simple taboo
flirting with a stranger
with her husband near by

angelblueyes - I am not much of a poet, I admit, just a story teller at heart.  Thank you for your reply and again thanks for responding to my post this morning that got dumped ... sheeesh ... but then I feared that it would ... now it is good and buried ... oh well.

eminor_angel - I confess ... the title was done purposely ... Hhahahahah! ... yet I do feel that it foretells of this piece.  Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave me this comment.

cusick - I agree this is the kind of thing that soars a woman's spirit *wink* ... thank for the read.

James - thank you for commenting and to just let you know one of mine got kicked out today, too ... ouch ... so it goes.

Munda - yes, it is fun to people watch, especially when it is a lively scene and you have no idea how it will end.  Hahaha!  Thank you for your response.

simple taboo
flirting with a stranger
with her husband near by

loved your story, oh a slice of life, it is
and how it starts with an innocent flirt, only to escalate sometimes.........enjoyed this and can more than relate
