Wrinkled rippleing water,shifting shadows of dark light reflected sheen. Stormy dark forboding skies, draw back across the horizon, above the wildfowl echoing flash, slowly. Fresh breeze plays a tune for the rushes to dance to. Dart of vivid blue unreality,lands on an upright post, free as the wind, staticly. Twisting and turning of summers sweetest, swiftest flyers, chasing each other over the flash. Gulls bend to 'V' shapes,looking for scraps, turning and quartering. Sun shines through the slate grey tempest,casting a silver beam on the liquid waves of windblown water, glimmering. White purity in the dark stormy hour, swimming against tide.Glowing ghostly white, complete contrast to the emerald of reeds and darkness of water. Silence save for wind hushing through the trees and reeds,and monotone calls of Bullfinches. Moorhens and coots splash and call in the shallows, like cackeling laughter. Smell of rain, sweeps in on the wind, as the sky darkens the early evening. Wind speed increases, not cold but exhilerating. Wind shifting, rain falls lightly, in summers soft sheen of darkened light, pitter-pattering. |
