In he glow from the crystal clear pool
I see a girl, so wild and free.
And though youth and beauty are nice indeed,
they only go as far as being skin deep.

The brown hair that shines,
that soft nose of mine.
The eyes so blue,
the rosy cheeks of maroon.

Though I am blessed
by beauty so sweet
I know that there is more
that makes me complete.

It's what is inside
that truly counts.
A reflection of who I am:
and in the end it all amounts
to the purity on the inside
and not on the out.

Is it a soul of pride
or a soul of joy?
Or how about a soul that cries...
or a soul that worries?

A heart so true
that cries when I'm blue
A heart made for loving
and a heart made for nurturing.

What is inside you?
Take a moment to see,
the beauty to hold onto
as you age gracefully.

Indeed - what is inside is who you are . . .

What is inside you?
Take a moment to see,
the beauty to hold onto
as you age gracefully.

Your last stanza sums up your poem beautifully!
