humanity
the casualty of
its atom split ambition
mushroom clouds
and charred bone fields

instinct lays
smouldering beneath
these blistered shells
what does it take
to break the choke
of avarice

Aenimal:  this is your best write ever, in my opinion.  It's completely uninhibited.  And so, here we all are, after all.  Man, I dig your new picture, too.  You're off to the moon! ~K~

I salute you on this write, Sir!

It will take, of course, the acceptance that fulfillment flows only from within.

I dig the picture, too, and the write.
It is definately ONE of your best,
in a sea of others you've written.

Raph, you are way too good for words.  Funny how I am supposed to be a poet and yet I am unable to express how this poem makes me feel.

Just know that everything about this is brilliant - the title, the message...DAMN!

This is a keeper and I agree it is one of your best!   I hope to one day write with as much sensitivity, depth and intelligence as you do.....you really are an inspiration and you make me jealous dammit! hehehe
