On a Stormy Day

Today I tried to catch a lightning bolt
It was a stormy day
But as they flashed around me
I was always looking the wrong way
And further more I am too slow
So all I got was grey

As I sat and waited
I pondered on the, what has been
And also on the, what can be
As my mind was wandering
I looked up at the sky
I saw a fading rainbow
Again I was a bit too slow
But I caught the after glow

Hearing the distant thunder
As the storm subsided
I looked towards the setting sun
Its picturesque beauty reminded me of you
I captured it
And saved its spectacular view

Aren't we more than fortunate
that Ron has given us so much room
to match our words to pictures,
and for pictures to lend us
words?

Bravo!

Hi Amature2...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't quick enough to catch the lightning!

Isn't it amazing that you can get such a beautiful sunset after a storm?

I loved this. I can spend hours imagining pictures in the clouds. Maggie
