I Am A Fool

Fun, it is not,
when God shows you
to be a bigger fool
than you thought.

I was so curious what Webster said the word fool meant so I looked it up. It said--- "One who is deficient in judgment, sense, or understanding."

Doesn't all sense of logic go out the window when you are bound by emotions? I think that's human. Pretty common to be human, and lose sight of what makes sense when emotions are in the way. I think so anyway.

How true your words, and the older you get, the more you start to laugh at yourself when you see that fool in the mirror!! Loved this, for it's wisdom and insight!  ~V~

Well written James.
It may not be fun, but aren't we all sitting in our school-benches to learn?
Awareness will help you to go ahead trusting and catch the future opportunities.
Love, Margherita

It's what makes us humble James.
Good write!

You are? Hmmm...I hadn't noticed. I only notice the wisdom in your writing. Chris

Now James,
If you have ever studied tarot, which I enjoy as a hobby...
You would find another definition, a truer description...for the fool is the innocent and the higher thinking symbol.  Often taken advantage of in this hard world, but the lightest of hearts.  You ARE most certainly our light heart. TD

Thank you Margherita, Enchantress, skyshine, janette, vandana, Nightshade, this Diamond, Bill Charles and gemjop for the kind and wise words.
Gemjop I bet I'm the bigger fool...because this is written about the fallout from a divorce that was many years ago and the resulting effects of a lost relationship between me and my sons...foolish actions can affect you way into the future...I know...I live it...James
