The shroud

I am a stitch a thread of spume
Woven in humanities loom
Material of cloak or shroud
This species that I am endowed

Hold the hand of before and aft
The product of an unknown craft
And wonder in the blankets lay
What part of bizarre do I play?

I can’t let go these held out hands
They are the cloth that holds the bands
And an integral part be I
No matter the cry or the sigh

So I am strung the blankets weave
Holding the hand and love of Eve
And reaching out to grab the next
For this is the shroud and it’s text

So lend me your hand in embrace
And we will weave this magic lace.

Sy, such a wonderful piece this morn!
And, I love the closing couplet.
Bet you're about ready for your tea?
Sit tight...I'll pour.
~Morning hugs, Nancy~

Has held me in the same embrace~

Seymour, this is lovely and thought-provoking....some good reminders here.
As I head out into the world today I'll be contemplating "What part of bizarre do I play?".  Thank you, dear man.

And Seymour, you are one of the greatest weavers of text that I have as yet to know...each piece you produce woven with magic for both the eyes and heart, for us to wrap up in! ~V~

Thoughtful, and tender...
a love write's render..
a slip of feel and tug of love,
all of this, and heaven above.

Smiling...

JM,
You have powdered me in pomp and say
And added color to my day
And I’ll be thankful till the end
Even if I cannot bend LOL

Good evening, Sey,our
As you can see, I'm late today. I wasn't on the computer much today because of the thunderstorms in my part of Florida.

I didn't want to miss your poem for today, though. This ending is really sweet.

So lend me your hand in embrace
And we will weave this magic lace.

Hugs
Ethel

You're right, I thought about it all day, I'm just like a stitch in a thread.  It's a bizarre weave and I'm part of it.  I held my own hand of love today.  See how you made me think?  K smiles...

I'm so late in replying to this fine poetic fodder, that I guess I'll have to wait at the end of the line of those who are eagerly offering to lend their hand in embrace of you!

Furthermore... I claim that spot at the end of the line... at least temporarily. *G*

A beautiful write, Seymour... sealed with the perfect ending couplet. *S*

suthern,
Well I can get you in next to last, but
I'd rather you were up front somewhere.
