There is a crow feather in my book
it is the color of a varnished rain cloud.

It is not accountable, so may touch the crease
between what was and what will be.

It's raining now, the sound just so,
like wings beating time itself.

Has feather fallen from its hold
while I am dreaming crow?.

How odd....I just wrote a poem, also esoteric, also with a single crow feather in it, and I was going to post it this morning....Where's Rod Serling when you really need him?

Think I'll go post it anyway!

hay ya sis,

just got a few more birds.
well, it's been a month or
so... baby peacocks and
we been just sittin' and
watching them preen
their down feathers out.
it'll be 2 to 3 years before
we see those beautiful
long India bleus. I hope
your day is not so gray
and I thought to add
some colour... this write
is food for thought.

And it did, didn't it -- with, as you said, no accountability at all. But feathers are easy; the trick is to fly without them.
