I love this bird
he sounds absurd
when he says, hahaha
DWEEEEEB!
He's lots of fun
He belongs to my son
Bananas are his fave
but then
walking upside down
in his cage
for him is all the rage!
He is a clown
when upside down
Pip Squeak is his name!
He's got spunk
he is real cute
He gives his crackers a dunk
hangs upside
and calls you DWEEB
to boot.
He paces,
Like he's off to the races
and with loud squawks
he talks...
Seems he
has lots he wants to say.
Pip Squeak
with that cool beak
He really makes my day!!!

Thanks to all of you. This bird was given to my son by a lady that came to the pet shop he works at. She couldnt' take care of him because of her health. He has been a delight to have around!! It's hilarious when he starts with the hahahahaha..DWEEB thing. He's a pretty bird. Beautiful colors.

LOL, I think he should be a DM here! What a character!
Pipstersqueak...a whole new poetic justice vocabulary?
Sorry everyone, I have a migraine and I'm moving today, may be offline for a few days.

Maybe PIP'S SQUEAK can log on for me?

Thanks for the fun moment, SharaRose!

Hello Marge, and Midnite Sun...

Marge...he is a ring-necked parakeet. They are much larger than the common ones you see. I know what you mean about the Bird lady thing!!!! I LOVE watching birds. In the morning I put birdseed out on my patio fence. There is a ledge that stands out there. Sometimes they feed each other. It's so sweet. Then some of them (the bigger ones) bully the little ones off the ledge. It's comical how they act.

hehehe...MidniteSun...I don't know what a DW is, but he's darn cute, and charms your heart. A real delight!!!!!!

Thank you Enchantress... He is very smart! And lots, and lots of fun to watch. Sometimes Pip SqEaK, and Daisy Mae are more fun than what's on tv.

I have known several birds that spoke (I don't believe that anyone owns a bird; they're just captives).

Anyway, two of my favorites were a large parrot that carried on telephone conversations, as if there was someone else talking with him - so I could only hear one side of the conversation, and a Myna bird who like to ride in the car and call out "PIG" when he saw a traffic cop.

Loved the poem!

Hi Icebox...I read this, and busted out laughing with the visual in my mind of a cop turning and looking with a shocked look on their face, and also a bird carrying on a one-sided conversation has got to make you laugh so hard it would bring you to tears. I love animals. I believe like you do about captives, and that I can not stand so when he still lived here ( :'( he moved when my son did) but when he lived here the cage door was always open. Pip Squeak is in good hands though. My son built a screening at his apt on the patio where Pip Squeak can fly free in the apt. and also get a touch of the outdoors without someone taking him. He's an amazing little creature! And much loved!!

I thought you were talking about the people

that likes to laugh all the time. LOL
That would be so much fun.  HeeHee!!
Hugs to you
Ethel

(psssttt.....I've got to go find your poem "Daisy Mae" and see what kind of animal that one is. I love animals, too.)
