Listening to every heart

Joan

And she believed in the voices, as they
In her, using a slim figure’s vessel
as their own armour;
In that she would sally forth
On great white horse,

To do the bidding of one true God…

St. Catherine held her dear;
                         St. Margaret she knew by voice;
St. Michael brought to her the crown
                         To take before the King

And she believed in the voices.

Honest voices in tell of truth
To her knees she fell in soot
That she a virgin, even child
Would cut her tress and dress as men
To bring a light to region’s ken
…..and at this, they thought her wild.

And she believed in the voices.

Even as the voices said
She would face a day to dread
Though she was to never fear
And she believed in the voices.

For they were sent by God to hear
Her say “I accept as true.”

Honesty was this virgin’s bless
As she stood each day, in confess
Of nothing more than reality
Of the voices that came to she;

But those who heard her talk of voices
Stripped her of any choices
To make a difference
As she had done ~
And she only cried when
St. Michael had gone.

For her soul called
to be with them.

~*~

To believe in the voices
That come to you ~
Lift your face to the light
As a chosen one’s due.

I don't know how I missed this. Glad my poking around uncovered it...

This, THIS, is a thing of beauty. Truly inspired!

(And of course, it has all of the things that I write of....hehe)

A stellar gift for the DarkAngel!

My, my, my...

Thank you Ed, for pointing this out.

This? Is one of my favorite subjects--but then? she would be...the voices tell me so.

and oddly enough, I'm working on some burning times m'self.

I can only offer a tip of the hat and applause.

You are not just prolific, but you EXCEL.
