Sue has given a challenge that we reverse our writing styles..romantic writers write sad and disturbing..dark writers write happy. This is going to kill me

Lie there in the sun-
happy in my oblivion...
I open the windows in the sun,
close them in the rain

Looked at others and wondered:
Whats wrong with life?

I don't want to grow up

Chase chickens in the yard,
sing them to sleep at night...

Try to find the stars-
why did they hide?

I was seven then-
My favorite color was yellow
And guess what?
it is again.

(I'm sorry sue..I really can't think of the happiest moment of my life right now. (actualy, I'm pretty happy at this moment) Thats as bright as I'm going to get )

That's IT.

I am now going to come after you and feed you Mai Tai's and ticklings.

(scared yet?)

This IS lovely, but? if y'don't mind me saying so, you didn't write HAPPY NOW. You wrote innocence at age seven???

surely lovie, SURELY (I won't call you Shirley) SOMETHING makes you laugh.

I'll find it, dammit.

Wind? Not picky.

There is a famous movie, (The Way We Were) ala Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford.

His character tells HER the same thing.

"You PUSH too much--constantly...pushing me on--"

Here La Steisand interrupts (of course) and holds his face and says,

"Ah...but? look what I've got..."

not getting all romantic with ya, but YOU get the idea?

er...doncha?

Ah sweet Wind - if only you could see the smiles on the faces of we who read your poetry. Then you would be happy for sure. No wonder yellow is your favourite colour - just like my favourite flowers that are bulging out of the railings in my garden. Bringing forth more joy than they know.
lol....Karen is smooshy and she doesn't realize it me thinks     The Way We Were...one of my favourite movies just for the part where Streisand lightly moves Redfords hair away from his eyes!! swooning here. Are ya feeling a little queazy yet?
I wonder what type of poetry I would write for this challenge? I don't have a form of my own...do I? Oh, I am rambling.
Great write me friend! hugs, Chris

Yes, you get smooshy...

Wind...too many responses here so you can't be asking for us to delete this...but there was a time somewhere in your past that you were deliriously happy - find it [I don't care if it was age 18 months and someone changed your diaper] - because I KNOW you have it in you to take this challenge and run with it!

Liz, sometimes when I read your bantering in discussions...I see you happy. So even if you write sad or longing for more of life, remember the fun you have with others on here and don't forget, you have so much life ahead of you and with your talent and personality I predict you shall go far~

hugs

heh. I know, I'm fine. I just don't like this style very much. It's not me. But I guess that's the point.

lets just let this slip into the cracks..shall we?

I'm sorry that I'm bumping this, but I DO like it. I might have read it wrong, though.... to me, it sounds very melancholy.... heh.
