Told that I should write of this
so I beckoned black heart knight--
I called upon the dark of king
he delivered to me "spite".

Riding on a healthy steed
protected by the armory
hinged--he gave--exquisitely
to take the beating of the thrall.

There--there was--a slit of eye--
lending him the mystery
just a shot of blue to lance--
just a slot to watch him bleed.

Horses knew--they stood the stance
before the heel would prod the flank
Lance before them ignorance
as the straw flew they would prance

just as if they knew

and you deliver to me a paradigm . . .

I must admit, I did not expect "spite"
quite like this, but *smiling* ahhhh
Karen . . . you are unique

I see romance, mystery , fantasy . . .
and spite brought to me in a most
delicious fashion

Yes, they knew

just a shot of blue to lance--
just a slot to watch him bleed.

Never did I envision it this way
seen from the slit of eye
an emotion taken and woven to a tale

Amazing Karen, and yet, I find such
beauty in this . . .
I applaud you, m'Lady

Okay, okay, now....is there any form that youu cannot do? Any emotion that you cannot bring to your readers? I think not. Wonderful, and I am keeping this. hugs,Chris

the only thing is I have seen you write every which way..so which way is truly different for you Karen?

All is written with great thought and some days you are tough to understand...but it is not your lack of anything, but mine of the seedy side of life.

Just call me "prudish"...though that is not how I wish to seem.

Karen, I'll bet these  horses did know.......:heart;

I haven't read the challenge, so I don't
know what it's about, but this is still
very good, as is all yours.
