restless sweaty shiverings
quickly let me grab the pen
lick the fuzz from off my teeth
and wake, the dog is licking me
comfort?
or the salt of skin?
panic-eyes and jittering
my feet itch to feel the ground
and I recognize the walls
I sweat some more in pure relief--
then I recognize the walls--
I gasp in gills of pure despair--
knowing I can't pardon me.

"Mom?" A glass of water--love--
when did we change place?
Shame, oh shame,
of life arranged
in such perversity...

There is a level of peace and serenity in your honesty...and I thank you for that.

Gawd, Karen...I felt the confusion...
the sheer panic of the moment.

Thank you for showing me...

Love you, lady..
