Magenta Velvet
~*Marge Tindal*~

There is a velvet to the twilight sky
that caresses the coming of night
Cloaked in magenta's soft beauty
awaiting the twinkle of stars-in-light~

Soft velvet stairs to the welkin gate
hold sweet dreams-in-waiting wish
Gentle the movement of moon-in-phase
across the ebon in galactic swish~

There is a velvet to the morning
that cuddles the meadow in dew
Moisturized wishes now granted
in the dawning of love-in-renew~

There is a velvet to the heartbeat
of lovers in union of morn
Poems are made in the gentle-of-night
to be shared on the dawn newly-born~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Marge, this is one of the most beautiful poems
that I've ever seen. The sparkles are beautiful, too.

Gosh, I thank you all SO MUCH~

As I sat quietly sipping my coffe outside yesterday morning ... the phrase 'there is a velvet to the morning' came tiptoeing out of the woods ...
I scribbled it on a piece of paper and went about my day ... then when I made the time to pen it ... it just flowed so effortlessly that I knew it was meant to be shared~

I just love it when the woods gives up a word-thought that splashes in my inkwell.

Thank you all for letting me know you like it~
It's a GREAT DAY to be a poetess~

There is a velvet to the heartbeat
of lovers in union of morn

And even in the missing
When that union cannot be
Cocooned in velvet heartstrings
He resides inside of me
There is magic in the morning
Just knowing love's somewhere
Tinged though it is with sadness
That he's not here, but there.

Sorry, Marge... my fingers got carried away... the beauty you created inspired them to tap keys... a reflection of how this tapped my heart. *S*

Your poem be of the dawning love
Your poem be of stars in light
Your poem be of meadow dew
Your poem be of gentle night

--your poem be of pure delight!

But ... but ... I can't bump them all ...
I just looked ... there's a gazillion of them~
