where the wild flowers grow

Digging
in the sand
by the ocean,
I start to think..
maybe I'm the only one
who is
incomplete.

    incomplete.
obsolete.

Perhaps I
don't belong and
I convince myself
I've got strength
to fight back,
to hit as hard
and
bite my tongue.

Maybe I'll
sit out on the front
porch and
play tic-tac-toe with
my imaginary friends
in this imaginary world
where I've learned to
comprehend that
there are
negatives
   and positives,
and always the
threat of electricution or
explosions.

I'm holding
my self together as
digging in the sand,
I build and create
catastrophe,

incomplete.
   obsolete.

Are you feeling me?
Total chaos lies
beneath my feet and still
I breathe,
the very thought of
the irony,
just a word could complete
the story.

Your thoughts may weigh heavy on your heart but, "obsolete"? "incomplete"?--I definitely do not believe so, Dear One.

irony indeed
I often wonder how we still manage
