Moonbeams slip through shutters
of the open bedroom windows.
Slender fingers of light reach over me,
casting my languid body in silver.

Lady Luna's sine qua non seeks my soul,
illuminating it with her godly light.
Memories of ancient times are awakened
and I begin chanting the song of the Druids.

I rise and find my way to the ocean shore,
with an inner knowing of sacred secrets.
With arms reaching for the stars,
I touch my very own spirit.

I stretch and gently rock back and forth
in the primal rhythms of long ago,
breathing in essences of ages past,
allowing the mysteries to enfold me.

Bathed in the serene glow of the moon,
I am transported to another time,
another place, when Dance of the Dawn
ushered in the morning sun.
With waves lashing my legs into divine movements,
the glorious sun rises at the edge of the world.
