Mirrors Aura

There is an aura in my mirror
That smacks an Irish wirra
A milieu a sense of overtone
That phantom through my skin and bone

She was all that I could ask
But I too weak to fill the task
And she in part did drift away
And I miss her more each day

There are some things that cannot be
No matter sky or calm of sea
Each river flows and takes a path
But some to swift to take a bath

Memory rains my spirits core
Distain in vain forever more
They are the castles of your mind
Where haunting thoughts through passage wind

She is a sprite within my glen
And does appear each now and then.

Yes, Seymore, you captured me with the lines: 'Each river flows and takes a path, but some too swift to take a bath'!  Those words speak volumes, although I enjoyed the rest of the poem just as much!!  ~~V~~

Morning
Lovely poem. Sometimes I have to ask a question to exspand my horizons.
What is an Irish Wirra?
Thanks

Acceptance of certain things
takes a great deal of common sense,
and growth.  But who is to say we
cannot accept the reality of our dreams,
come what may?

I felt the sorrow of this one as I remember "letting one get away" as well.
However, you know I am just compelled to "play with you " right?

There's an Irish fae in my glen too
At night she flits all over.
She told me that she kissed your cheek,
You cute, Floridinian rover!

Sometimes it just pays to stay in your own backyard Sy
