A misty morning gray
A look upon the wake of yesterday
A lark high above
Cries loud and clear

A cry that seems to be heard
Regardless of what has happened
I never knew how much
How much was in my mind.

It’s as though the mist left
And I suddenly saw clearly
What am I to do?
How am I to do it?

Who knows now or ever
I’ll keep doing what I must
But somewhere along the way
The mist has returned

I am blind now
I go about groping for
Anything to hold
A tree, a branch, a dead stag.

Somewhere along the way
The grayness returned
I continue to grope
For the solidity, it might as well be air.

A vague glimmer of light
Of hope I so long
I wish to see that light
It seems to be right there

I’ll continue to walk
To give up would be cowardly
In the dark tunnel
I’ll keep looking for You my Light.

"Search and ye shall find." "Ask and ye shall receive."-- You are searching and asking and when you least expect it, you shall be finding and receiving your soul's desire.

And when you least expect it, but need it the most, that light you seek will illuminate your path, my friend!  This is a write of courage and hope...well done..~V~

And it's there. It's out there. The light is there. Hang in there and don't give up. Keep writing, too. It's good to get it on the outside, and not keep it in!! The answers are out there. In the Bible it says something like this---there's nothing we go through that isn't common to man. Whatever we experience..someone has already felt it before us...so sometimes it helps to know you're not the only one thats ever been through that situation. I know, I know this was supposed to just be a critique, but my heartstrings get tugged, and can't keep from trying to say a word that might help someone feel better. Sorry if this is too much for you, or the readers.

Critique or not, thank you so much for all your words.  Indeed, the best one can ever do is keep looking ahead: so I've learned and am learning yet.

Cheers
