You can deal with the devil if visiting hell
But actions of evil have voices that tell
And all he might promise, will just bring regret
For sins speak forever and God won’t forget

But life brings on action that leads us to sin
And sometimes the bad gives us place to begin
And though we regret and feel what is shame
Life is a temptress and who is to blame?

Each day there are choices, but what do we choose?
The path of the righteous, which many abuse?
Or what feels as right in the heart and our soul
In what gives us peace and what makes us whole

There’s right and there’s wrong, with a line sometimes weak
The answer of query, we often do seek
But day of decision concludes to an end
And one day our choices, we’ll have to defend

But none here are perfect, for I that conclude
That right and the wrongs are the choices of mood
And life ever giving, shows challenge to fill
So here I’m deciding and pondering still

Pondering still ... yes! The choices are indeed a great responsibility for our growth ...
To walk in harmony with God's laws isn't easy, but we are here to learn I think.
Beautiful poem, Rick.

Dear Margherita, thank you for this reply and your words from the heart that say so much; it is indeed our time of choices, but sometimes the hard choices are difficult to make as taking that first step toward a dream. Each step leads us to our destiny and time of judgement.
Again Margherita, thank you so much.

Sincerely
Rick

LeeJ, great to hear from you my friend, thank you for your reply, so long ago I was a child, there the world was so simple where the choices were made and I accepted, things change, often too much. Again thanks.

Rick

It sure doesn't get easier with age, does it?

Very thoughtful write here

Oh Rick...this is beautiful.  Yes, we all fall short of His glory. The best we can do is to stay in His word and praise Him.  You have done so with your words.

God bless you, my friend!

Rick - the good Lord gave us "free will" which is a glorious thing...but frightening at the same time. Every choice we make is another lesson on this "earth school" as author Gary Zukav calls it. Well done. Enjoyed, Chris

Thanks for your perspective, and we just have to stay strong. Following Him is a decsion that's made at every turn. Not a hard one, but one that's challenged by our human side, and our will.

Decisions, decisions always a choice with some paths that will lead us to heaven and some that deviate only slightly and lead to who knows where. A wise and sensitive write.
