The bubbly part, first spirited along the tongue
Dribbling the chin and neck we laugh, these spirits sung
Fruits and berries grace our plate
Fed from fingers that have come to know, elate
Familiar secret places, tenderly sought

Bouquet that graces every swallow
Held in savor flows the pallet and the kiss
Given every this
The long stemmed glass and table trimmed
Preparations made and grinned
Fondling of hands and plans

Exciting, in my best imagination
Thinking up the ways to sip upon
This sweet libation
Drink, as water from the spring
Celebrate emotions on the wing

The residual left, swirling into minds set free
Lessening the frail and fright of empty night
Echoes through the veins, my heart it claims
Abundant in the ambiance and thrill of you upon my taste
Not a drop to waste
For cheer this dear is sweet wine crystal clear

I savored reading this slowly, as one would savor vintage wine...
