Walking down the middle of the road
never seemed to fit my traveling style.
Stumbling along the edges
always kept me in full view
of dangerous obstacles,
or so I thought.
But every now and then
I’ve glanced to the center line
and wondered what
it might be like to wander
around for a day with
the mainstreamers
who always appear to know
where they’re going
and why.
Sigh, somehow
the narrow edges seem
to keep me
following my
destined
personal path
of least resistance.

This is great, I feel like I am stumbling so much sometimes that I can't even see the middle.

Sandra, I'm sorry.
it's comforting (but not to you maybe) to know I'm not alone on the highway

Thanks, James, for the visit

And please just keep on walking at your own pace for you seem to be doing just fine to me.

Enjoyed

Kacy...there are certainly times when I can relate
to these feelings.  You've expressed them well.

there are people who know and people who just think they know...mainstreamers, yeah, I'll take the edge any day

I'm not one to stay in the right lane, but I know when to move out of the way too

I prefer jaywalking...I don't know where that puts me. I love the thought behind this and where you were 'going' with it.

It's amazing how the mood has become so introspective and contemplative.. a little soul-searching is good for us all, one supposes..

thanks for sharing this one.. I will keep it to inspire me to think these kinds of thoughts.. again.. and again..

I believe that the path of least resistance is down the middle laneway. I think your path requires more ingenuity and strength. You are a non-conformist and a trail-blazer!--and I like the way you think and do!

Kacy, your writings and the things you say, remind
me so much of the way my Honey-love feels. He has
his own beliefs and nothing is going to
change them. I've found out in the past
5 1/2  years that it turns out that he is
usually right in his thinking.
