Whenever I wasn't to be found
I would never be searched for.

Once
in the dark
he lost the substance
and I became
nothing

Blind
to my danger
forgot I existed
only
for him

Here
I trail respect
weak resistance
I let go
today.

Instant karma's gonna get you.

damn gemma...loved all these lines, and the feeling they gave, a bittersweet melancholy sigh

Letting go can be difficult, but that ending may--and will!!!--mark the beginning of wonderful new experiences.

Gemma, I can only imagine how bad this hurts, even though I've experienced it before. I think it would nearly kill me if I were to break up with Gary. Every time I read one of your poems like this, I think of how I would be feeling if it was me and Gary.

You captured these feelings perfectly.. I am not quite there.. but striving, striving... and your words help..

This hurts... but it also shows strength... I think he's lost more than he's even imagined.

Thanks All.

so much.

This one hurts me when I re read it. Reminds me of being with someone, yet feeling so unimportant compared to other needless things.

Thanks for being here.

Gem, everything here is from the heart.

I appreciate your ability to show us how you feel, and let us relate to that so effortlessly.

Substance, and the lack of it,  is a good source!
Only you know when to let go!
