Somewhere... out there...

0 posted 2003-07-22 01:54 AM

Recycled

This life...no life beyond the box
a one-way window, looking out
to see the people scattering
from heart that's slowly shattering
in disillusion of illusion
of a life in discontent

A wave, a plea of, 'see me here!'
the people pass - they do not hear
and once in every little while
a tug of hope - approaching smile
a turn towards solitary cell
"hello...please let me out!", a yell
but only view, that meets the eyes
an empty box...

a spirit dies

Powerful, sad, thoughtful, and very true.

para siempre te amo

but listen to this...

for every box out there
there is this poem

and doubting eyes
a
song

you are a smile

I'm with Bryan..what an awesome response left he....

I enjoy this poem very much..not the "sad" in it, but the truth in it..I know the feeling, as do many..Its good to be in the blue now and then, but I was once trapped here, and I realized that real life is outside of the box..Thats where I began to find little bits of me again...

I love you dearly My Friend...

Be well..

An excellent poetic statement of a common, but sad, reality.

Thank you for sharing it.

If we could somehow simply tumble out . . .
Instead we stay . . . we sometimes pout.

Good one, another touch with so many.

Ah yes the "see me here"
a small, but precious, participant
of life...

see me...

hear me...

Vicky, this is wonderful.  Thank you.
