The heart of you

0 posted 2003-07-21 03:27 PM

Sleep now again, Tender Heart.
For night has come, and with it, the songs of your dreams.
Let not the nightmares of your soul trouble you now.
For I will be here to hold your soul as it seeks rest from the world.
I will be here to guard your heart as it seeks a breath from the universe.

Sleep now again, Tender Heart.
When you wake, let my face be the first sight of your eyes.
Let my touch be the first feel of your body,
And let my kiss be the first breath of your life.
For I am He whom your Heart dreams of,
And I am He whom your Soul longs for.
He who loves you,
And shall always,
As long as dreams shall come Tender Heart.
As long as dreams shall come.

Peace is the only battle worth waging.

" I will be here to guard your heart as it seeks a breath from the universe." I love that line. This was a very sweet poem. I enjoyed it.

I loved the way the tender-hearted ones love was there to comfort them, rescue them from the worlds hurts, and pain. The senses were so sweetly made aware as well of the desire to be the first breath they breathed, the first thing to see.....so on...Beautiful words. They say music can soothe the savage beast this would soothe the coldest of hearts. Lovely, lovely words to read!!! Amazing!!!
