~~*~~
Where oh where
does the time go
Especially when the
days drag by so slow

Another year has
almost gone by
Where did it go to
I wonder with a sigh

Soon Christmas time
will be right here
When all are celebrating
with ones we hold dear

I guess this is why
things happen so fast
It is good we have memories
that we can depend on to last

Especially when they are
of the happy good kind
They are all around us
if we look hard will find

Let us cherish our memories
we make from day to day
Before the day is gone
and like a bird flies far away

Very touchy, very lovely. Much enjoyed.

I am no expert, but I have only 2 small comments:

Maybe add some punctuation?

And in the following part, maybe you can avoid repeating the word "with"?

Soon Christmas time
will be right here
With all celebrating
with ones we hold dear

Just suggestions, mind you. Great piece. Thank you.

I think we all catch ourselves saying this. Reminiscing memories that seem to slip away if not for memories that linger, and thank God for that. Loved reading this. Made me think of the times I've had the same thoughts.

and the valentines day cards are in the stores
the day after christmas........and who is responsible for this insanity of reminding us
even more that we are all victims, all rats
on a treadmill
btw, before i go off on a tangent, nice ethel, real nice

Another lovely post Ethel. You are so right. Time passes by much too quickly. Remember though, when we were youngsters and we couldn't wait for the years to pass so that we would be "grown ups" .....lol. Dear me.
hugs to you sweet lady,  Chris

Liz, thanks, little lady
.
Gemma, thanks, I appreciate you.
.
RoRPoR, Thanks for your suggestions. I
changed the first "with" you suggested. I
don't like to add puntuation, though,
unless absolutely necessary. I think it
makes it look kind of cluttered. Thanks anyway.

Hugs to you all
