A hinged stare,
a voiceless word.

An enclosed hand.
Soft, driftwood
splinter.

Watching the
moon fall from
the highest point.

Liquefying
the stars,
that cannot be
attained.

A backward tear,
barren lips.

Soft, driftwood
splinter.

Meghan -
you know
this reminded me of when I was at
the beach with my son . . .
He kept bringing me driftwood
and I just stared at each piece
realizing that is exactly what I am,
what many of us are . . .
a splinter . . .
I see everything ina different light
this . . . hit home today
beautiful writing
xxoo
