Oh heavy
spare me this tonight

Eager is the pain
to please
to never explain

You skim over how
it hurts me

How many
times
will I
touch water
before
sinking

Oh heavy
spare me
this endless
cut and stitch.

gem:

ancient beating
distant muffle
beneath cotton clouds of memory

listen . . .

Rusty chain rattle
in this graveyard
Vision blurred
between these bars of steel

lol gem, i saw you..in the login place. I've been thinking, and I wanted to ask you because I thought you'd give me your honest answer. so here it goes: did you like my poems better when they were sweet? or now when they are dark?

hello lizzieee. its funny you should say that, as i was going through my library the other day, and looking through the archives at your stuff, as well as others.

you've always had a consistent, very unique style that sets you apart. a freshness, and a way of questioning and seeing things. And i too noticed the change, i suppose progression into a slightly darker element, and you know i love it. i like both liz's. the light fluffy side, and the angst side, cos like i said, in each theres a consistent unique liz ness to them.

the dark suits you, and into it you do bring light, so, i love both. were growing up, we need both.

lol..you make me feel better. hehe

(gem, my cousins were upstairs with me listening to their music, and i was asking them what their favorite songs were, and one of the said "the sad song with the piano" I had no idea what she was talking about. lol, she called it 'the bartender.' turned out to be the scientist...hehe i'm still making fun of her, and she was trying to sing it..it was funny. then she told me a pickup line a friend taught her...she's been to all sorts of weird concerts and stuff, and all this time I thought she was NORMAL. What is normal anyway? lol..thought i'd share my interesting day with you.)
you sound so smart sometimes
