self-hatred
    is the ass
I ride
through this
     tumbledown scree

canyon walls above me
I scan
looking for signs of
habitation

caves
    of those who
      tired
     of riding this
         slow
             bowbacked
     beast of burden
and scrabbled up the rock
like a prisoner
hunting
freedom

I felt this one, Brian.
Well done, my friend.

We keep struggling on, sometimes I think because somebody, somewhere, sometime, told us it was a good idea to do that, lol.

Good write, enjoyed!!!
