When seas of change
have crossed my path,
it's often been
unnerving.
They caused me strife,
upset my life,
and off I went
a-swerving!

As Father Time
goes passing by,
I've gone more with
the flow.
I may not put,
in my whole foot,
but I'll test waters with
a toe.

When I have grown
accustomed,
to the temperature
of seas,
I've inched my body
into,
the water to
my knees.

It's then I rest,
and reaccesss,
the brand new
situation.
I separate the wheat
from chaff,
and plan new
destination.

When I am in
my comfort zone,
and sense not any
danger,
I open up
like lotus cup,
and act not like
a stranger.

I then wade in,
up to my chin,
with little
trepidation.
I grab the gold,
let go of old,
and gain my
liberation!
