The Bold And Free

Far and away, across the sea
There lies the land of opportunity
Where dreams become reality……
“Come…Come,” beckoned Lady Liberty
“Come to the Land of the Bold and Free”

So I came to this land from distant shores
With dreams aplenty, desires untold;
With pockets to let….but spirit, bold….
“Legend has it,” said Lady Liberty
“Courageous are the Bold and Free.”

And through the years as I grew old
Of failures aplenty, obstacles untold
Of struggles many….and passion cold….
“Take heart”, I heard Lady Liberty,
“Persevere truly, the Bold and Free.”

Eons later, towards the end
Of dreams realized, desires spent
With wealth aplenty ….spirit content….
“Stand Proud and tall,” said Lady Liberty,
“You are at one with the Bold and Free”
