(I'm posting this for the mere satisfaction of Miss Vicky..Hope you enjoy a post from me...Its nothing spectacular, just something written down the road...    )

They say I have written sadly
I say I have written swiftly
Purging poisons from my soul
So that I might have the opportunity
To live;
To breathe without thought of dying
To speak without thought of crying
To laugh without thought of lying
I write of fear
And become courageous
I write of love lost
And become lovable
I write of death
And become accepting
     of Life’s
          last chapter…
How can they say of what I write
While they sit in their tight little world
     Of black and white
Entering not unto my world
With open mind
or thoughts to mingle
They come with jaws set
And hands balled shut…
My world
     is more colorful
          than that…

Oh yes!!!  I like this.. very, very much.

I surely wish people wouldn't presume to "understand" me..

I like what you wrote as well as how you wrote it.

Okay...first of all, let's get one thing straight.
You know that, as far as I'm concerned, everything
that you write is 'spectacular'.

Now...about the poem...I love it.
The whole thing is cool, but I  especially
like these lines...

"To live;
To breathe without thought of dying
To speak without thought of crying
To laugh without thought of lying
I write of fear
And become courageous
I write of love lost
And become lovable
I write of death
And become accepting
     of Life’s
          last chapter…"

Those lines are just so 'you'...I can actually
'hear' you saying them in my mind...and THAT is cool.

So glad you decided to 'satisfy' me by posting this...lol.
You know I'll always be your #1 fan.

for one instant and then cease to
exist than to exist forever
and never be a part of beauty"

Hey You...

I like your coloured world much better...
and this was not just some ordinary write, and far beyond the black and white...

Nice lines, dg.
But, ain't it a shame.
I live amidst this and must look a sore thumb to them all . . .
Have missed reading you, kid.
Write on, I enjoy it.

Don't you look pretty as a picture--and your words are just as pretty and colorful as well!

You can color my world anytime you want with such fine poetry as this!

You know, I sincerely thank you for these particular words... I didn't realise before now that my writing of his death was the way to accepting it... thank you

Many Thank You's are in order here!  Wow..I didn't expect such a big number of replies for a poet who can never find the time to be a poet these days!  LOL

Its so good to see some of the old names that were so "loyal" to reading me when I was here more often...And some new names too!  I thank you so much for reading...   I hope to get in here and scan some of YOUR blue pages soon

Big Hugs! g
