~*~
Almost always good things can be found
on this life trail we walk
And in each and every person
of their good I wish we would talk

Why must people be critical
when they could find some good to say
Life would be much more peaceful
if we all would compliments pay

No matter the situations
or circumstances to which we are faced
Life could be made easier
if our words were carefully placed

Joy and happiness and peacefulness
each of us could spread
If we would put forth an effort
and choose our words that are said

Hurtful words are oft times spoken unkowingly
when a person is quick to speak
We will be much more careful with them
if our words we humbly seek

Yes almost always good things can be found
on  this life trail we walk
And in each and every person
of their good I wish we would talk
~*~

Morning Ethel!  A sweet sentiment that would make the world a happier place, I imagine.

Eric, that's a swet thing to say. I really
do appreciate them, too.
.
Yes Duncan, wouldn't the world be a happier
place, though? Good morning to you, too.

.
Hugs to you both

That is exactly how it should be. Wouldn't you love to live in the little house in the picture?

Oh how I wish this could be.. and, oh yes, I think the world would surely be a kinder and gentler place if this were only true..
these are thoughts to live by

Sandra, thank you. And, oh yes....wouldn't
that be a beautiful place to live?
.
Pepper, thank you. yes, if only we could all
live this way....and would make the choice
to look for the good, instead of the bad
all the time.
.
.
I appreciate you both.

Beautiful words to live by!!! The tongue is an organ that needs to be tamed. I loved reading this wonderful reminder.

I'm with you all the way! My sentiments exactly--and you expressed them soooo well!

Have I ever told you how fond I am of your poetry--and you!?!

Ethel,

You are so right.  Sometimes we don't realize how one kind word can make such a difference in another's day.

A wonderful write!
