Spirit of the Bells

Ring across the field
Echo off the walls
Worm their way
Into my heart
Like the mist
Of waterfalls

They sound a mellow chime
The taste
A sip of wine
They stir the shadows
Of the deep
In the embers that they reap

The spirit of the bells
Come out my wishing well
They echo in my mind
To light the path of find
And I am caught within the sweep
Forever in my sleep

Sy...*sigh*...I needed this today.
Simply beautiful...thank you.

exist than to exist forever
and never be a part of beauty

ahhh Stinky..your timing is uncanny and impecable...just the other day I was waiting for my daughter on a parking lot and a nearby church played several songs just as the sunset behind its steeple...between the beauty of the colors and the haunting beauty of the bells, this moth was humbled to tears.
Your perfect poem puts into words what I lacked in my awe.

"I'm good at two things and this is the other one."

JM,
I hope things work out I would love to see you even for a little while. This friday I have a 600 mile drive with my daughter to pick up my grandson at camp. Isabel is going the Huston texas to see our new greatgrand daughter. The next trip we will be in your neck of the woods.

Bill,
