Forgiven

I saw myself in light
Independence loomed up in the night
On hold for many years
Deeply hidden in emptiness fears

A longing choked my heart
Clogged the bottleneck, craved the spark
Awaiting the unknown
Standing scared and oh so alone

Like a memory or a forgotten dream
Returning once more to torture me
And then receding again just like the sea
Revealing its sobering reality

Perhaps I didn’t believe
That strange and new were possible for me
And then I tested my will
With senses of speeding while standing still

Like a memory or a forgotten dream
The queen of hearts played a trick on me
She returned again just like the sea
I relive the sobering reality

I was lost
And I was loved
I was lost
And forgiven, forgiven

Like the proverbial penny that keeps turning up!

It is sometimes easier to forgive than forget.

Warm hugs,

what an arduous journey indeed

MM, Kethry, littlewing, thank you for your comments.  I may have botched a few things, but I at least found personal forgiveness, if nothing else.  ~K~
