daily
my conscience a genie
thats springs forth,
a crystillian cloud
full, sparkling bright

forbiden words
slithered though pursed lips
"there has to be a way"
but while i stay lost in futile prospect
he stands vigilant
his response inaudible
for his words fall on wax corked ears
mindfully rationalizing.
He is a siren trying to steal my hopes of ressurection

while she is no longer my loves muse
in her remanents lay
a corpse to beatifull to bury

Mike...
This reminds me a little of an old "Pogo" cartoon strip..In it, Pogo waxes political and says "We have met the enemy , and they are us" It seems you are in an ancient battle here with your conscience...The "he" is really you,(possibly your spirit) you speak of?

but the "ratioalizing" is made fruitless by the reality of the last stanza, where you succumbe to the real world facts that lie outside of your daydream..
