With my darkling

0 posted 2003-07-17 10:36 PM

Pushed harshly fore, a panel three
who gathered here for judging me
today must come, a reckoning
from all who's felt the pain of thee

But what of cause? I cried to them
are you to judge, or just condemn?
today must come, a reckoning
was all the answer heard from them

First witness called by me was God
"we protest, thats rather odd!"
"today must come a reckoning"
What?, you deny the truth of God?

Not what we said, words twisted here
"what you meant", I said with a sneer
So bring to me, your reckoning
I need no trial, I have no fear

Masterfully crafted with ingenuity and a small streak of venom.  Great read, Darkling.

BRAVO, again.
Can I say something else? the shorter they are, the more powerful.
I'm talking about the length of the poem, obviously.

Jason - if I didn't know better I would think that this was written about me and some of the trials and tribulations of a while ago. Very nice write...
