We have lived a life of kings,
But now I stand with you friend,
As the sun sets by the moon,
And daylight reaches the end.

We have leeched and controlled,
We have conquered and destroyed,
We have pillaged and plundered,
Now we enter the dark void.

I served you in life my king,
I care not for the light,
I am your servant my liege,
And so I will join you in the night.

I miss the sun in my heart,
For here is dark as a well,
But this is our condemnation,
Our black souls have been cast to hell.

Servitude was my life to you,
Remorse?There is no such thing,
You were chosen by god,
Your word was law my king.

Yet do you feel betrayed now?
As we dwell in the perpetual night,
Do you feel deceived by the god who chose you?
The feelings of betrayal seem all too right.

But this path was our own,
We were men who rejoiced at others plight,
So this is our judgement,
To remain in this tunnel at the end of the light…

a very strong write...reminds me of something I was talking to a friend about last night...you know...people have actually mocked me at my innocence...laughed??? You know what...I should be the one doing the laughing...where does this concept come from? Society has certainly changed...with an attitude of "What can you do for me"?  You know something...I'll never stop believing...and if someone tells me something, it's my right to believe them...but if they lie, cheat and steal...it is also my right to turn my back and I intend to...in all candidness...I'm very tired and sick of people who are less then honest...and there are a lot of good people out there who still possess morals, respect for themselves and consider it a privilage and honor to have the friendship of those who are so...

Great write...it's time people stop being so gosh darned dishonest, less then responsible for their actions...and start once again educating society with some morals and rules to govern their lives as such...we are guest here in this world...and it's high time we act as ladies and gentleman!

Thank you for the read.
