there once was a Chipmunk
running around
blue pages of Passion
gathering and sharing
food for the soul
a little Chipmunk
with a smile so bright
in each of our hearts
she created a hole
in mine she laid
a friendship's love
that still sends signals
to her above
and when the sun is setting
in my flat country land
then I will sit
at a mirrored creek
I do not pray
I don't know how
but I just look in water deep
and I will find her soul
no need to weep
Chipmunks like
the one she was
are seldom found
so in my heart that hole I keep

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Hmmm ... how very percular; she has been in my thoughts and a few tears all day. And here you have written beautiful words of her.

How very much I miss her.

Thank you Titia, Luvs, Marti

Titia, this is so beautiful. You've written exactly how we feel. I miss her so much. She was such a sweet person.

I miss you, too, when you don't come around. It was good to see you today, Lady.
Hugs to you
Ethel

Is it just me or does anyone else think the little chipmunk icon should be retired in honour of Lyra?

Every once in awhile, I think we are blessed with meeting these people to remind us of the wealth in life, love and people...that there is a God...faith...hope and always always we are loved.

What a lovely refreshing write, thouoghly enjoyed...more please...smiles and hugs.
