Should I speak of my freedom, as if it were only a ribbon, dangling over windstruck phonelines? "Did you have a nice trip?" The superficial "stick in the arse" conservative. Did I have a nice trip, well, Of course I did. I remember calling up my northwest connection, chilling to Led Zeppelin, and feeling the essence of herb, with my mother. Crossing the intersection between what it's like to be a daughter. Should I speak of her freedom as if it were only a feather of a bird, climbing above funnel clouds? So you ask me, Did I have a nice trip? I've gone more places than you've been. ..No one ever has to ask you that question. Maybe next time I'll blow a little smoke your way. |
