I shall believe
if you finish
here and now
ingrained torture in teaching
oh sweep up old dust

It's only my skin
like ashes you touched
and caressed

The down of my up
is straight line
mediocre messages
of intelligence escape lip
audible strains

So tired of noise
footsteps following
haunt my haven why not?

Pretend I am invisible
give me
respite from endless days
racking brains
painting medley of numb

I shall believe

when I feel.
