Ribbons of Raindrops

Ribbons of raindrops splashing across my window pane
Flowing down like sheets of broken glass
to my bleeding tormented heart filled with pain.

Ribbons of raindrops streaming down my
torn and battered consciousness
Tears traveling down to my frozen heart while
a torrential storm bombards my broken memories.

Ribbons of raindrops flowing on a
wall of granite
Ribbons of black streaming from my tears for
the loved ones’ I have lost.

Ribbons of raindrops splashing
across my window pane
Ribbons of teardrops flowing
across my shattered broken heart.

Bonnie J.

The rain can have a sense of melancholy attached to it, nicely written.
